I sat in the chair, my heart racing as I tried to come up with a plan. I knew I had to escape, but how? The ropes were too tight, and there was no way I could break free. Suddenly, I heard a noise behind me, and I turned my head to see a figure standing in the shadows. It was a woman, and she looked just as scared as I was. "Who are you?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. She didn't answer, but instead, she walked over to me and started to untie the ropes. I couldn't believe it. Was she trying to help me? "We have to get out of here," she said, her voice shaking. "They're coming for us." I nodded, and we both stood up, ready to make a run for it. But before we could take a step, the lights went out again, and we heard the sound of footsteps approaching. We both froze, not sure what to do. "Stay here," I whispered to the woman. "I'll try to distract them." She nodded, and I took a deep breath, ready to face whatever was coming next.
